Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our team.
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining
heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and/or commercial
clients. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills,
and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air
conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and related components.
*Perform routine maintenance and tune-ups on HVAC equipment to ensure
optimal system performance.
-Accurately identify issues, explain repair options to customers, and recommend
appropriate solutions.
-Replace or repair defective parts and calibrate system components as needed.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC codes, safety standards, and equipment
operation.
-Complete service tickets and maintenance logs with detailed information on
services performed.
-Use a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and gauges to install and repair
systems.
-Educate customers on energy efficiency, maintenance practices, and system
operation.
-Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner.
-Maintain cleanliness of work vehicles, tools, and job sites.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or HVAC
certification preferred.
-2+ years of experience in HVAC service or maintenance.
-EPA 608 Certification required.
-Strong understanding of HVAC systems, troubleshooting techniques, and repair
procedures.
-Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
-Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces, rooftops, attics, or
crawlspaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
-NATE certification or equivalent is a plus.
-Experience with smart HVAC systems and advanced control panels.
-Familiarity with both residential and commercial HVAC systems.
Working Conditions:
-Field-based position requiring regular travel to customer locations.
-Exposure to various weather conditions and physical environments.
-May require overtime, weekend, and on-call work.
