Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Lead Installer to join our team. The
Lead Installer is responsible for overseeing and performing the installation of heating,
ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and/or commercial settings. This
role involves leading an installation crew, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining
safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and supervise HVAC installation crews on-site, ensuring jobs are
completed on time and according to specifications.
-Install a wide variety of HVAC systems, including ductwork, air handlers,
condensers, furnaces, thermostats, and related components.
-Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation
activities.
-Ensure all installations comply with local and national codes, manufacturer
guidelines, and company standards.
-Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth
workflow and problem resolution.
-Train and mentor junior installers and apprentices to ensure team growth and job
readiness.
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
-Document job progress, materials used, and any issues encountered.
-Perform system testing and start-up procedures, ensuring equipment functions
properly before final turnover.
-Communicate effectively with customers, answering questions and providing
guidance on system use and maintenance.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or HVAC
certification preferred.
-3+ years of HVAC installation experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or
supervisory role.
-EPA 608 certification required.
-Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation best practices, and
applicable codes and regulations.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
-Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
-Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a variety of conditions (attics, rooftops,
crawlspaces, etc.).
-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
-NATE certification or other advanced industry credentials.
-Experience with both residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
*Familiarity with smart thermostats and modern HVAC controls.
Working Conditions:
-Field-based role requires travel to job sites.
-Exposure to various weather conditions and physical environments.
-Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project timelines.
