Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to join our team.
The HVAC Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heating,
ventilation, and air conditioning projects. This role involves analyzing blueprints,
specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor
estimates. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems,
excellent mathematical skills, and experience with estimating software.
Key Responsibilities:
-Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to
prepare accurate estimates.
-Calculate materials, labor, and equipment costs for residential, commercial, or
industrial HVAC projects.
-Develop and present detailed cost proposals and bids.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to
gather pricing and logistical details.
-Monitor market trends and supplier pricing to ensure competitive and accurate
estimates.
-Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary to assess project
requirements.
-Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, proposals, and project
documentation.
-Update and improve estimating procedures, tools, and databases.
-Coordinate with the sales and operations teams to ensure project goals are
aligned.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-3+ years of experience in HVAC estimating or related mechanical estimating role.
-Strong understanding of HVAC systems, codes, and industry best practices.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
-Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
-Effective written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Working Conditions:
-Office environment with occasional visits to construction sites or client locations.
-May require some overtime during peak bidding periods.
